Happy Trail is a hilarious and sweet romantic comedy that takes place on the Appalachian Trail. Ranger Jay Daniels lives in Green Valley, TN and he prefers the company of birds to people during his days working in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. During the middle of a month long hike on the AT, Olive Perry is dumped by her Instagram-famous boyfriend and left to fend for herself. Hot-tempered, beautiful Olive is determined to finish the hike; she doesn’t need a man to save her! When an early season snow storm moves in, Ranger Jay has to clear the Trail, and he crosses paths with Olive “Snowbird” in the process. Forced to share an abandoned cabin to ride out the storm, both Olive and Jay learn a lot of each other, but even more about themselves. Will this happy trail lead to love, or will it be just another bump in the rocky road of life. The second book in the series, Stranger Ranger, comes out this May. I can’t wait to read it! I listened to this one on audio and it was fabulous. Chris Brinkley narrates for Jay and he also narrates for all of the Winston brothers in Penny Reid’s books and his voice really makes the story come alive. I would highly recommend the audiobook!
