For the Love of Friends by Sara Goodman Confino

For the Love of Friends, publishes August 1st with Lake Union Publishing. This is a cute story with a lot of humor surrounding weddings and a girl who is always a bridesmaid and never a bride. Lily is one of the last in her friend group to be single and she’s 32, which as far as her mother is concerned, is downright past her marriage-age prime. Now, Lily is in a total of a whopping 5 weddings in one Summer and she doesn’t know how her psyche (or her pocketbook!! ) will get through to the other side. To make matters worse, her brother Jake and her much younger sister Amy are both getting married, leaving Lily the sole single sibling. On a desperate whim and as a bit of stress relief, Lily starts blogging about all the ridiculous things the brides are expecting of her, as well as many humorous situations she finds herself in during wedding pre-planning for multiple showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, bachelorette parties, and actual wedding days. Though the blog was never meant to cause harm, Lily soon learns that she has some growing to do, as well. Especially if she wants to spend any more time with her new best friend and potential love interest, Alex. This is a light-hearted romantic comedy with just a few very clean romance scenes. The plotting and writing are well done, creating a quick and satisfying read.

Thank you to the author for providing me with an early review copy in exchange for honest feedback.
